Today's Reading Stack . . .

Well, it's officially nap time, which means I finally have time to engage in four important things: reading, blogging, snacking and ingesting caffeine.

Today's stack is a short one, but a good one:

Peach Cobbler Murder by Joanne Fluke

This is one of an adorable fiction series of cozy murder mysteries revolving around a bakery in a usually quiet town in northern Minnesota. I love the quirky characters and delicious descriptions of baked goods! This particular mystery involves a new competing bakery business,  no-shows at a local wedding, and of course, peach cobbler. Love it so far!

**If you love Joanne Fluke, try Cleo Coyle's Coffeehouse Mysteries! They're to die for! (Ha. . . okay, no more puns. I promise.**

Design Mom by Gabriel Stanley Blair

This beautiful compilation of home design ideas and photography targets many audiences, but features one group of people: kids! Author and mother of six, Gabriel Stanley Blair, marries the two ideas of living well and living with kids beautifully, emphasizing that you truly can have both! I love her take on thoughtfully designing and decorating a home to tell your family's story and enrich your children's lives! A+ for this new read!

The Home Spa: Creating a Personal Sanctuary by Carol Endler Sterbenz

God must have known that I'd be having a stress-filled morning today -- I checked this out from our library last night! It's filled with creative ideas to make a unique and serene space in your own home to fit one's personal needs for wellness of mind, body and soul. The recipes for bath salts look incredible, and some of the simple DIY projects like the herbal paper sachets and etched oil decanter look just plain fun! Bring on the zen.

Stan Lee: Comic Book Super Hero by Martin Gitlin

My hubby loves all comics and all super heroes, but Marvel is his favorite. He never fails to point out the part in each Marvel movie where Stan Lee makes the guest appearance. I have to admit, I'm a pretty big fan too. The first line of this intriguing picture-filled biography reads, "Stan Lee was bored." Gitlin goes on to explain the action-packed life of super hero comic book writer, Stan Lee, and how he eventually facilitated the "Marvel Age of Comics."

Hope you find time today to read and snack (and consume caffeine) in peace today!
